Talk: “100 years of Weather in Essex” by Wendy Hibbitt
Friday 3rd February 2012.
Our programme for the year kicked off with a fascinating talk about “100 years of Weather in Essex”. Wendy spoke about the vagaries of weather measurement and prediction and included statistics about the when forsythia and primroses first bloom locally. Thanks to Wendy for an interesting evening.

Upcoming Events

Quiz Night 2nd March 2012. Danbury Village Hall. 8pm. Teams of 6-8 are invited to join in our General Knowledge Quiz. Please bring your own drinks and nibbles. To book your team’s table please call Jennifer on 01245 . £3.00 per person.

Spring Show.  17th March 2012. St John’s School, Danbury. 2.30pmDon’t forget your daffodils which you grew from the bulbs we gave out at the end of last year, there is a special class in the show just for these! To help you with your other Daffodil entries we have included a pictorial guide in the yearbook. It is an early show this year so let’s hope that all the snow has gone in time to let the bulbs get growing again!  If you have nothing in the garden, why not try a bit of Cookery or Floral Art?  As usual we would welcome help with the teas. Please let Stephanie know if you can support for half an hour in the kitchen.

Visit: Ulting Wick, Friday 27th April, 2.30pm Following our lovely visit last Autumn, we are going to see their famous tulip display. You cannot just turn up on the day! We need to indicate who will be attending and the visit is only open to members. Tea and cake will again be provided and the cost is £2.00. To join the visit please contact Jenny Shaw chair@danburyandlittlebaddowhortsoc.co.uk .
